The October edition of Texfusion, held on the 19th and 20th of the month, brought together 100 exhibitors and 40 print studios, attracting over 2,000 visitors.

This season the event was held together with The London Print Design Fair (TLPDF), the first show completely dedicated to print studios within the UK.

Over the two days, the best international studios and brands presented their latest trends and collections to buyers, chain store representatives, designers and manufacturers from the UK and other European countries.

According to the organisers, the visitor number for the combined trade shows was up by 25% on Texfusion’s April show. Visitors came mostly from the UK, but also from France, Belgium, Russia, Italy, Australia and Spain.

“The show seemed to work very well with Texfusion, our international textile fair which was held at the same time. The two shows together give a complete overview of the industry trends and respond perfectly to the market’s needs,” said John Kelley, show organiser.

TLPDF showcases a unique offer of print design, embroidery, knit and vintage design, while Texfusion is a platform dedicated to international textile manufacturers.

Both shows were held at the Business Design Centre, which allowed for the creation of two new halls dedicated to technical fabrics and home textiles. The technical hall presented a wide selection of activewear, sportswear, technical fabrics, technical fashion, thermal insulation and conductive fabrics, while buyers could source from bed linen, curtain, towel fabrics, tapestry, wall hangings and upholstery at the Home area.

The next edition of Texfusion and The London Print Design Fair will take place on 28-29 March 2017 at the Business Design Centre.
