Actress Rebel Wilson to launch plus size 'Angels' collection

Actress Rebel Wilson is entering the fashion realm with a new, contemporary collection for women size 14 and up. The Australian comedian and Mamiye Group announced on Monday the launch of Rebel Wilson x Angels this July at Nordstrom, Dillards, Lord & Taylor and Dia & Co.

 
Wilson had her first taste of American television Rules of Engagement in 2010 and Workaholics in 2011, before appearing in the successful box office comedy, Bridesmaids. She later co-starred in Pitch Perfect with Anna Kendrick, lent her voice for the movie Ice Age: Continental Drift and appeared in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
 
The actress partnered with Mamiye Group on the collection for the company’s experience as a designer, manufacturer and marketer. Established in 1947, Mamiye Group works with brands Kensie Jeans and Wallflower, as well as Ella Moss and Splendid for kids.

"When I worked on plus-size capsule collections in the past, it was such a fun and rewarding experience that I really wanted to break out with my own line,” said Wilson. “I'm so excited that these designs will reach more people and remain available all year round."
 
Rebel Wilson x Angels is comprised of statement pieces and everyday staples, including graphic tees, suede moto jackets, varsity jackets and bomber jackets in sizes 14 to 24. The Pitch Perfect actress not only inspired the collection’s aesthetic but also worked on the collection to create the right looks and fit.
 
"I know how hard it can be to find the cool, quality fashion I want to wear, even with the help of Hollywood stylists," says Wilson. "I'm so proud to be creating this collection with The Mamiye Group, and to give gorgeous ladies everywhere amazing clothes that empower them to express their confidence and chic attitude."
 
Rebel Wilson x Angels will launch for fall 2017 in stores and online. Prices range from $49 to $298.
