Aquazzura opens first West Coast location

Italian luxury footwear brand Aquazzura has selected Costa Mesa's South Coast Plaza for its first West Coast boutique location.

The new Aquazzura boutique is 800 square feet. It is decorated in a blue and white color palette with pops of red lacquer fixtures. The brand's signature stripes adorn the ceiling, walls and floors. Materials used in the shop include real wood, marble and hand woven wool carpets.

The shop was designed to combine Aquazzura's Italian aesthetic with the laid back beach lifestyle environment of Orange County.

Edgardo Osorio, Creative Director and Aquazzura Founder explained the boutique inspiration saying, he wanted customers to feel like they were in a vacation destination that "feels like summer and has a very relaxed and sophisticated Italian atmosphere."

Osorio said South Coast Plaza was a natural choice for the brand's first West Coast boutique because the mall serves both an international and local customer. Additionally, he called attention to the lifestyle factor that Orange County has, saying it "works very well with Aquazzura's sophisticated, easy, fun and elegant styles."

Aquazzura's South Coast Plaza location will sell both the Aquazzura and Aquazzura Mini lines.

It is the brand's fourth US location, joining boutiques in Las Vegas, New York and Miami. It is one of eight locations globally, with other locations in Florence, Paris, London and Moscow.
