Ariana Grande teases new fragrance

The popstar took to Twitter recently to announce the news, posting a short video clip that features a fragrance bottle and the message: "New perfume coming soon."

The 24-year-old US recording artist has yet to offer up any further clues about the scent, but its pale blue bottle appears to feature a cloud-shaped base and lid, suggesting a light, whimsical approach.

One thing is certain; Grande knows exactly what she is doing when it comes to the fragrance industry. Despite only launching her first scent, ‘Ari by Ariana Grande,' in September 2015, last December it was revealed that she had achieved impressive global sales of $150 million in the space of just two years. Through her ongoing partnership with Luxe Brands, she has also released ‘Moonlight', a sweet and fruity scent, and ‘Sweet Like Candy', a sugary combination of berries, vanilla, marshmallow and precious woods. Grande has also joined forces with her brother Frankie on a unisex fragrance, ‘Frankie by Ariana Grande,' which launched on Valentine's Day in 2016.

Grande's success in the cosmetics industry can in part be put down to her huge social media following, which includes 121 million followers on Instagram and 57.5 million on Twitter. She is part of a cohort of female stars currently dominating the celebrity fragrance business, alongside Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.
