Ashley Graham joins star-studded Revlon campaign

Ashley Graham has landed her first major beauty contract with Revlon.

The makeup giant has snapped up the plus-size model to front its new ‘Live Boldly' campaign, alongside three other fashion stars -- Adwoa Aboah, Imaan Hammam and Raquel Zimmermann. The four new recruits join Revlon's growing portfolio of global ambassadors, which also includes "Wonder Woman" actress Gal Gadot.

"I am thrilled to be part of this timely and groundbreaking campaign with different types of women across races, ages and sizes, and to leverage this platform to continue to create positive change," said Graham in a statement. "To 'Live Boldly' is the mantra of my life. Every day in the mirror I say to myself, 'I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful,' and together with Revlon, we can inspire all women to do the same."

Supermodel, activist and ‘Gurls Talk' founder Aboah, who was named ‘Model of the Year' by The British Fashion Council in December, added: "To me, 'Living Boldly' means being unapologetic, knowing no boundaries, being vulnerable, strong, authentic and yourself."

According to Revlon, the four women were selected for the campaign because "they embody what it is to ‘Live Boldly.'" Graham has challenged convention throughout her career, rising to become the tenth highest-paid model in the industry in 2017, according to Forbes, while Aboah is known for founding ‘Gurls Talk', an online platform that offers young women a space to discuss topics such as female identity, mental illness, addiction, sexuality and racial diversity. African-Arabic model Hammam and Brazilian-born model and environmentalist Zimmermann have also broken barriers with their magazine covers and global runway appearances.

The move is the latest big career milestone for Graham, who became the first plus-sized model to hit the catwalk at New York Fashion Week last year when she walked in the Michael Kors show. The year 2017 also saw her land her first US Vogue cover.
