Asos launches pay after delivery in the Nordics

Published
Jan 23, 2017

Leading e-tailer Asos is bringing its pay after delivery service to the Nordic countries. Launched together with Klarna, one of Europe’s leading payment providers, in Germany three years ago, the payment service offers customers more flexibility as they are able to pay for products purchased on desktop or mobile up to 14 days after delivery.

This means customers in the Nordics can now try on their purchases before making a payment.

International customers are important for Asos, which delivers a wide variety of branded and own-label products from its fulfilment centres in the UK, US and Europe to almost every country in the world.

Of its 12.4 million active customers in August 2016, 7.7 million were located in international territories, up from 6 million a year earlier.

The e-tailer considers that a large part of its success comes from its strategy to continually improve its range of delivery and return options. In the past year, Asos has launched free returns for all EU customers, introduced its Express services to 66 new countries and expanded its Pick-Up-Drop-Off network in the UK.

The company is also working hard to improve its product offering, launching plus-size and tall sections for men to address a gap in the retail market.
