Does this mean a new chapter for Aspesi? The Italian minimalist style brand , founded in 1969 by Alberto Aspesi, is about to be acquired the investment fund Armonia, according to a report in the Corriere della Sera.

Negotiations are in the final phase. The new Italian investment fund, which just picked up 500 million euros in seed capitol, wants to invest in the pharmaceutical industry, but also in Made in Italy brands. The firm is poised to become a majority shareholder in Aspesi. The plan calls for the brand’s founder to remain as a minority shareholder, reports the Milan daily newspaper.

In 2008, Alberto Aspesi already sold 50% of his shares to Italian investment fund Investitori Associati before buying them back in 2013. The brand is primarily known for its line of basic chic" clothing for adults and children, combined with unusual accessories.

After that transaction, Alberto Aspesi continued looking for a new partner to revive his brand.

The investment fund Armonia has recently been founded by a group of Italian entrepreneurs and investors.
