As Fashion Network reported yesterday, the successor to Giovanni Mannucci has been quickly found. Mannucci has resigned from his post as CEO at Boglioli, an Italian high-end fashion label owned by Milanese private equity company Wise SGR, and will be replaced by Andrea Perrone, who was appointed general manager.

The two managers joined the board of directors of the northern Italian label together in 2013, when Wise SGR took over its control. From the following year, they acquired a small share of the business, bringing the Wise SGR stake in Boglioli down to 97%.

No explanation was given about Giovanni Mannucci's departure.

Andrea Perrone is the grandson of Gaetano Savini, co-founder of Brioni, and spent most of his career working for the renowned Italian tailor. He acted as Brioni's general manager between 2006 and 2010, just before Brioni was taken over by PPR (Kering).

In 2011, Perrone, a law graduate, joined Ferrari, where he was appointed senior brand vice president, in charge of all licensing and retail activities. He left Ferrari last year.

The fashion label founded by the Boglioli tailoring family is going through a relaunch phase. Last year it recruited Davide Marello as creative director, and has been showing in Milan for the last two seasons. In early September, Boglioli opened its first U.S. store in New York.
