CEO and Creative Director Maidment exits Ben Sherman

The CEO and Creative Director of iconic British brand Ben Sherman, Mark Maidment, has exited the role after 13 years at the company.

His departure comes less than a month after Ben Sherman was acquired by America's Marquee Brands. Maidment was appointed CEO of Ben Sherman in April 2013.

Marquee Brands commented: "With Mark’s honest, focused approach and respectful philosophy; he has taken Ben Sherman to the level which encompasses the brands inherent DNA and rich heritage whilst being at the forefront of the brand’s button up culture. Marquee Brands have acknowledged Mark’s leadership in reinvigorating this iconic brand and thank him and his team for their contribution."

Mark Williams has now been promoted to Creative Director and Simon Smith, Chief Restructuring Officer, will also act as interim CEO.
