Camille McDonald steps down from Bath & Body

Published
Jan 19, 2017

Camille McDonald, president of Brand Merchandising at Bath & Body Works, has stepped down. The veteran beauty industry leader will be entering retirement after 12 years with the company.

Camille McDonald, center - Cosmetics Design

McDonald has served a crucial role building up the fragrance footprint for many mega luxury brands including Givenchy, Chanel, L’Oreal and Ralph Lauren.

McDonald initially joined Bath & Body Works as executive vice president of merchandise and brand development and promoted to her current role in 2007. Prior to that, she led the team at LVMH as president and CEO of Givenchy Inc and later, Guerlain Inc. McDonald's resume also includes a tenure as senior vice president of global markets for Ralph Lauren fragrance, then a stint at Chanel as the senior vice president of sales.

During her time at LVMH, McDonald spearheaded the founding of the American Designer Fragrances.

Her work has been rewarded throughout her career, receiving Advertising Age’s top marketer award, CEW Achiever Award, and from the American Society of Perfumers, the Living Legend Award.

There is no word yet as to who will take her place.
