Capsule moves New York men's and women's shows

The Capsule trade show is moving its New York Women’s show to a new venue. After holding its New York Women’s show at Pier 94 for a little over a year, Capsule announced that the show is moving to Skylight Clarkson Square for the AW17 season.

 
Skylight Clarkson Square in 2015 became one of the locations for New York Fashion Week and NYFW: Men’s, and now it is home to one of the premier fashion trade shows in the US. The New York Women’s AW17 show is expected to feature over 750 contemporary clothing, accessory and beauty labels.
 
Capsule co-founder Deirdre Maloney said, “We moved to Midtown because there was no space big enough to accommodate our growth, but Capsule's roots are decidedly downtown. With the availability of Skylight Clarkson Sq and Skylight Clarkson North, home of NYFW: Men’s and NYFW, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring the show to west SoHo. The space is beautiful, updated and full of character and New York history. We are really excited about that.”

Prior to moving to Midtown Manhattan, Capsule held its shows at Basketball City in Lower Manhattan. The trade show also moved its men’s show from Basketball City to Pier 92 in January 2016 to be next to Liberty Fairs at Pier 94. Capsule decided to switch venues and partner with Liberty Fairs to make the men’s New York market season much simpler for buyers. In January, New York Men’s will be co-located with Liberty Fairs at Pier 94 since Agenda is returning to Pier 92.
 
Capsule Women’s held its first show at Pier 94 in February 2015 and later teamed with Axis for a partnered show. The two shows merged together in April 2016 and have held shows in New York City and recently in Los Angeles, which marked as the first-ever Capsule show in Los Angeles. In Paris, Capsule partners with Paris Sur Mode and Premiere Class at the Tuilleries Gardens at Place da la Concorde.
 
Capsule New York Women’s will be held from February 24 through 26 before Coterie, which begins on February 27.
