Capsule to host AW16 market at new Pier 92 venue

For years, the Capsule trade show has held its New York Men’s shows at Basketball City in Lower Manhattan, but things are different this season. The trade show announced in late 2015 that it has changed venues to Pier 92 right next door to Liberty Fairs. The two shows have decided to work together to make things simpler for the menswear community that will find themselves on the west side of Manhattan for three days beginning on January 26.

 
Though Capsule moved to a new location it hasn’t skimped on its brand offering for the season, which includes returning favorites like Assembly New York, Han Kjobenhavn, Naked & Famous Denim, Stutterheim and Wood Wood. A few brands that were included in last season’s specially curated sections will return, like Rochambeau, Rhude, BrandBlack and Second/Layer.
 
Long-time show features, Above Tree Line and Sundries, make their return this season as well. Above Tree Line is a showcase of outdoor and technical brands and Sundries highlight exciting brands that are focused on grooming, lifestyle and apothecary products. Above Tree Line regulars, Muttonhead, Jungmaven, Iron & Resin and Westerlind make a return and Sundries favorites, Field Notes and Terrapin Stationers have announced attendance among others.

Capsule is no stranger to the New York City piers as the company typically hosts its Women’s RTW shows at Pier 94. The Women’s shows did not impact the decision to move however, Capsule and Liberty partnered this season in an attempt to make the piers a new hub for menswear.
 
Capsule AW16 will commence on Tuesday, January 26 and will end early on Thursday, January 28 at 3pm.
