In an initial step bringing the Chinese capital’s mass market trade show closer to its Fashion Week event, Chic Young Blood, the trade fair focused on youthful fashion trends for China’s urban Generation Y, announced it will partner with Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. So with this next edition, scheduled for October 25 to 27, “certain fashion shows will be organized by the trade fair.”

Beijing’s D-Park is home to cafes, galleries and boutiques and hosts numerous events

Chic Young Blood, an annual event that is only in its third year, already allied itself with the fashion week event in 2012 by choosing the same dates and the same venue, 751 – D-Park, in the capital’s arts district. Nearly 100 brands will be welcomed in a 7000 square meter space, organized in three sections: Young Fashion in Area A for well-known brands, Street Young in Area B for street fashion, and Young Inspiration in Area C for young designers.

According to the official press release, brands due to attend, via agents, distributors or directly, include Cheap Monday, Dickies, Supremebeing, Havaianas and Royal Elastics. Chic Young Blood will work with two local shopping centers, the newly constructed Bao Yuan International, intended for VIP visitors, and – as previously announced – Sanlitun, which will enable brands to present their styles in a mall environment. But the trade show has also decided to highlight an international city to inspire Chinese buyers. This year the space, called Little Y, will be dedicated to Berlin.
