Christophe Chenut takes over as head of Comptoirs des Cotonniers and Princesse Tam Tam

Published
Jun 15, 2015

Comptoir des Cotonniers and Princesse Tam Tam have a new leader. Both retailers, which are owned by Fast Retailing, haven’t had a CEO since the departure of Nancy Pedot, who spent less than a year on the job, last fall. While Nobuo Domae, co-CEO of Fast Retailing France, had served as interim CEO, the company has finally announced Pedot’s successor: business and media executive Christophe Chenut.

Christophe Chenut - Fast Retailing.

As of July 1, Chenut, who served as CEO of the company L’Equipe from 2003 to 2008 and of Lacoste SA from 2008 to 2013, will oversee the company’s Paris-based division, which includes the ready-to-wear and lingerie retailer. Fast Retailing is counting on Chenut to "drive the next phase of development and growth" for these two brands

Since 2013, he has served as president of the newspaper L'Opinion, of which he is a founding partner. In addition to working in media and textiles, he has also worked in sports, serving as president of Reims Football Club and as a director of PSG and Evian-Thonon-Gaillard.

Finally, alongside Fabrice Boé in particular, he has invested in the brand Inès de la Fressange Paris, during a securities offering that allowed the brand to change ownership in 2013.
