US cosmetics group Coty has appointed Andrew Stanleick as Vice-President of its Europe Consumer Beauty division, which includes among others the Rimmel, Wella and Bourjois brands, WWD reports. Formerly the CEO of Coach Europe, Andrew Stanleick now reports to the President of Coty's Consumer Beauty division, Laurent Kleitman, who took over the role last March and is based at the group's New York headquarters.

Before joining Coach in 2013 as President of the South-East Asia and Pacific region, Andrew Stanleick worked for twelve years at L'Oréal, where he notably held the posts of General Manager of L'Oréal Paris for the UK and Ireland, and CEO of L'Oréal Malaysia.

In the last fiscal year, closed on 30th June, Coty reported a revenue of $7.650 billion (€6.5 billion), equivalent to an exceptional 76% rise. This exponential leap is due to the addition to Coty's portfolio of 41 brands from the Procter & Gamble group, and to the purchase of GHD and Younique. Consumer Beauty, with sales for $3.69 billion, is Coty's most powerful division, though its organic sales have fallen by 10% due to market pressure.
