The Italian fashion label created by Renzo Rosso will open a 130 square-metre store on the first floor of the shopping mall 'The Mall', in Puerto Rico's capital San Juan.

The new store is expected to create approximately twenty direct and indirect jobs, and will showcase the Diesel line's latest men's and women's collections, as well as the Diesel Black Gold range, the brand's high-end label.

Diesel is entering the Puerto Rican market in collaboration with Denim Deluxe Industries Ltd, a Panama-based company and a Diesel distributor since 1998 in 15 countries worldwide, which also owns another 6 stores in Central America and the Caribbean.

The Diesel label started out in 1978 with denim, and belongs to the OTB-Only The Brave group, alongside the Marni, Maison Margiela, Viktor & Rolf, Staff International and Brave Kid labels. In 2015 Diesel recorded a revenue of €1.590 billion, with a 2% increase over the previous year.

Diesel currently owns more than 400 stores in over 80 countries worldwide, among them Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and the UK.
