Dior Homme has drawn the curtain on its newest ad campaign, picking British singer Boy George as one of the new stars.

An icon of the New Romantics musical era, Boy George was chosen by Dior Homme creative director Kris Van Assche for his unique and daring style, and his presence in cinema, fashion, and music. Van Assche told the press that Boy George has been an icon to him since the eighties, particularly the music icon's message that being different is a positive thing.

Photographed by Willy Vanderperre, the singer features in the new campaign wearing raw-edged tailoring accessorized with harnesses from the house's spring 2017 collection, and customized with punk Toru Kamei souvenir pins.

Also featured in the new advertisements are 'Mr. Robot' actor Rami Malek, Russian model Ernest Kilmko, and rapper A$AP Rocky, who also appeared in the fall 2016 campaign. Dior's SS17 campaign marks the first ever fashion ad that Malek has starred in.

Vanderperre shot Rami Malek and Boy George in his studio, but opted to shoot A$AP Rocky in the streets of Paris and Kilmko at night in an amusement park, where the Spring/Summer 2017 runway show took place.

Dior Homme is to unveil the new campaign at the same time as its new Instagram account.
