Ermenegildo Zegna launches beachwear line

Ermenegildo Zegna is taking its first steps in the beachwear segment. The luxury Italian menswear label has launched its very first beachwear line, consisting of swimming costumes and beach apparel and accessories, characterised by a "fresh, summery Italian appeal."

To produce the new line, Zegna's Creative Director Alessandro Sartori struck a partnership deal with ISA, an Italian manufacturer specialised in silk accessories and located at Lentate sul Seveso, near Milan. ISA already works in the beachwear segment with several other labels, Dsquared and Jimmy Choo among others.

Last year, Ermenegildo Zegna signed a first licence deal with ISA for the development, production and distribution of the underwear, socks and home wear collections.

Zegna's beachwear line predominantly features high-tech, innovative materials such as microlite and ultralight seersucker fabric, blending performance and design and emphasising the quality of the products' details. In a press release, the label defined the collection as "sophisticated, cool and versatile."

The new beachwear line will be available from December 2017 at selected Ermenegildo Zegna stores and on the e-shop at zegna.com.
