Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh of Art Comes First are self-proclaimed "traveling tailors", and now they've lent iconic British fashion brand Fred Perry some of their tailoring magic for a new capsule collection.
A punk take on classic Fred Perry pieces, the collection features the brand's collar pique shirt in black and white. It's been given a white 30-leaf Laurel Wreath at the chest, with the original Art Comes First label stitched just below it. There's also a classic Harrington jacket that has been updated with sleeves from Fred Perry's track jacket, a zip pocket with leather puller on one arm, and an Art Comes First patch on the other.
Finally, Art Comes First, who are know for their headwear, have designed a black felt hat together with hat manufacturer Christy’s for the collection. The hat comes with a cigarette holder and Art Comes First pin badge.
Art Comes First describe their style in three words as "history, modern, prospect", and said: "Tradition, inheritance, nothing is new under the sun. We study what was done before us so that it can inspire the future. It's the 360 circle of creativity."
