Gerry Weber announces new managing board structure

Clothing brand Gerry Weber has switched its managing board structure back to three members, who will work together to drive a sustainable increase in profitability at the company.


Johannes Ehling will take up the role of Chief Sales Officer in April - Gerry Weber


Johannes Ehling has been named Chief Sales Officer and Chief Digital Officer, and will join the brand on 1 April - earlier than previously reported. He was previously Managing Director at Ernsting’s family, and has held senior positions at Willy Bogner and Escada.

Jörg Stüber will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer. The former Head of Finance was promoted to the role of interim CFO following the departure of David Frink in November 2017. Stüber has been with Gerry Weber since 2011, after having worked at Ernst & Young and EnBW AG.

Ehling and Stüber will work alongside CEO Ralf Weber as part of the new managing board.

Weber commented: "I am very pleased that the appointment of Johannes Ehling as Chief Sales Officer and Chief Digital Officer and the renewed appointment of Jörg Stüber as Chief Financial Officer have resulted in a very experienced and competent Managing Board team. Together with all employees, we will lead Gerry Weber back to sustainable profitable growth and put all necessary measures into practice.

The supervisory board will support the new managing board in their efforts to improve the profitability of the group, and has asked the new team to create a performance programme for this purpose.

For financial year 2017/18, the company expects revenues of between 870 million euros and 890 million euros, and consolidated earnings before interest and taxes of between 10 million and 20 million euros.
