Gucci drops capsule with Dover Street Market

Published
Dec 22, 2016

Gucci is releasing limited-edition collection with Dover Street Market. The collection will include a crewneck embroidered sweater and an embroidered denim jacket.

Gucci's new collaboration with DSM - Gucci

Prices for the collection will range from $2,200 for a crew-neck to $3,300 for a jean jacket. Each piece will be marked with a red tag that indicates the limited-edition nature of the products. The designs are a tribute to some of Gucci’s best-selling pieces from the 1970’s.

The latest collection is one of a string of collaborations between Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and the team at Dover Street Market. Earlier this month, DSM stocked Gucci’s newest book, which documented the behind-the-scenes action at the latest Gucci runway presentation.

In July, Gucci launched its new partnership with DSM through a similar collection. This is one of the first times Gucci has paired with a more innovative, unconventional retailer like DSM, showing off the youthful direction Michele is taking the brand. Since appointing Michele in 2015, Gucci has done a complete 180 turnaround, becoming one of the most-anticipated and most-buzzed about shows at fashion week.

The collection will be available at select Dover Street Market locations on January 14th, 2016.
