Hackett London gets into running
Dec 20, 2015
The running trend extends well beyond the sporting world. For spring-summer 2016, Hackett London will start with a collection dedicated to running. It is a first for the brand from the Pepe Jeans group, more at home with suits and formal or casual outfits than with tech shorts and t-shirts.
Hackett underlined how its HKT Sport line consists of real sports performance apparel, featuring t-shirts, jerseys, sweatshirts, shorts and windcheaters. The brand goes for a combination of navy, blue and grey colours, brightened by silver reflective bands and featuring useful details such as digital player pockets. HKT Sport relies on merino wool for jerseys (€95) and sweatshirts (€110), and on ripstop nylon for its sleeveless padded jackets and waterproof jackets (from €225).
The collection will be available at Hackett London stores from February 2016. Hackett claims nearly 150 branded stores worldwide, with a remarkable presence in El Corte Ingles department stores in Spain. The brand's parent company, the Pepe Jeans group, was acquired by L Capital Asia and M1 at the start of the year.
