Heal's and Made.com plan Mailbox debuts

Published
Sep 4, 2017

Furniture retailers Heal's and Made.com have signed up to open stores in The Mailbox’s new 20,000 sq ft homewares area.

Heal's

For Heal's, this will be the first Midlands opening in its 207 years of history. The company will open a store on level one of the Birmingham shopping centre alongside Made.com in the autumn.

They will be joined by a collection of other furniture and homeware retailers including Danish brand BoConcept and Italy's Calligaris.

“We know that our customers are interested in high-end contemporary furniture and accessories, and Homewares. We’re delighted to be welcoming two real interiors heavyweights in Heal’s and Made.com, alongside a host of other brands, as we launch this new offering,” said Simon Samuels, partner at joint Mailbox owner Brockton Capital.

Heal's chief executive Hamish Mansbridge added: “This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for Heal’s, giving us a new regional flagship store in the Midlands.

“Building on the success of our store at the Redbrick complex in Yorkshire, our Mailbox showroom will offer the finest in furniture design from Heal’s as well as internationally recognised designers and brands. The shop itself will be a unique retail space that will bring the best of our online offering to Birmingham.”

The Mailbox store will be also Made.com's first permanent location in the Midlands. The brand has stores in London, Liverpool and Yorkshire.

Annabel Kilner, commercial director at Made.com, said: “Having seen great promise from the Made Birmingham pop-up, we are delighted to announce the opening of our showroom in the Mailbox. Birmingham is an important city for Made.com and we're keen to see the impact the bigger location will have on sales.”
