Inditex welcomes a new financial director

Published
May 20, 2009

Ignacio Fernández has been named as financial director of the clothing group Inditex (Zara, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Ovsho, Zara Home…). He replaces Antonio Rubio who is leaving to take up other adventures.

A graduate of Economy and Business from the University of Coruña, Ignacio Fernández arrived at Inditex in 2001. Until now he was manager of the financial department of the Spanish business, and has now been promoted to a more senior post. As financial director he will have responsibility for the administration, management control, finance and import departments.

“Ignacio Fernández is in a key post as he must oversee the management of the financial section and also generate as much synergy as possible between different services”, declared Pablo Isla, vice-president of the Inditex group.
