Rimmel London has a new global makeup ambassador, in the form of makeup artist James Molloy.

The cosmetics brand took to Instagram to reveal the news, hinting at future projects with the British creative with the caption: "We're so excited to announce our new make up artist @Jamesmolloymakeupartist Such exciting things to come." Molloy reciprocated, saying: "I've been a fan of this iconic British brand for years and I'm super excited for what's to come."

As well as being the co-founder of the independent beauty company My Kit Co, which designs professional-level makeup tools at an affordable price point, Molloy is also an in-demand artist. He has worked on editorial shoots for titles including Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Tatler, and with models such as Emma Watson, Winnie Harlow and Kanye West. His catwalk beauty credits include Stella McCartney, Moschino Resort and Proenza Schouler, and he previously worked as the UK Senior Artist and Director of Makeup Artistry for Asia Pacific at M.A.C.

Rimmel London has a habit of using homegrown talent as brand ambassadors -- Molloy is following in the fashionable footsteps of both Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss in taking on the mantle.
