Jeremy Scott and MAC have teamed up on a retro-themed makeup collection that is set to have beauty fans bopping.

The fashion designer -- who is creative director of the Italian brand Moschino in addition to heading his own eponymous line -- unveiled the details of his upcoming collaboration with the cosmetics giant via Instagram, alongside the images from the accompanying campaign starring himself and model Yasmin Wijnaldum. MAC also took to social media to share the news, with a post that dubbed the collection "hi-fi, full-volume colour by fashion's most irreverent designer."

The music-inspired collection comprises a vibrant 29-piece eyeshadow palette in the shape of a boombox, a mirrored lip palette disguised as a cassette tape, and a cheek palette disguised as a CD mixtape. The series will launch in select MAC locations on February 8.

This isn't Scott's first foray into makeup design -- last summer he created a seven-piece Moschino capsule beauty collection with Sephora that featured a 3D teddy bear and playful metallic and chainlink packaging. The creative is the latest in a long line of celebrity collaborators to have been snapped up by MAC recently, joining a club that includes Jade Jagger, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey. The brand also recently announced a makeup collection in partnership with beauty influencer Patrick Starrr, as well as a secretive upcoming project with sportswear giant Puma.
