Jonathan King appointed as South East Asian CEO of Audemars Piguet, to head India operations

Audemars Piguet, the luxury watch maker, appointed Jonathan King as the brand’s South East Asian CEO which will see him oversee operations in South East Asia, India, and Australia.

King was previously working for the brand in Tokyo as Japan CEO, a position he took up in 2012. Over the past five years King was instrumental in elevating the brand in the region and so it is anticipated that he will do the same for Audemars Piguet’s South East Asian operations.

King has worked in the luxury sector for around 20 years and has previous experience working in the luxury watch and jewellery market in Singapore, where he will be based to spearhead the brand’s South East Asian business. King said of his new appointment: “I'm thrilled to be back in Singapore, one of Audemars Piguet's leading markets, heading an excellent team of committed professionals. The South East Asia scene is fast paced and sophisticated and it brings me much excitement being in this dynamic part of Asia once again.”

Audemars Piguet was founded in 1875 and is seen as the oldest watchmaking brand that is still owned by the families that created it, namely the families Audemars and Piguet. The brand is known for its luxury watches and also makes sports models and watches for women.
