Kaia Gerber designs new bag for Marc Jacobs

The 15-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford has already modeled for Marc Jacobs and now she’s collaborated on her first design for the brand. Gerber’s limited edition purse is glittery patchwork version of Jacobs’ Snapshot bag.

 
Kaia Gerber has appeared in two Marc Jacobs campaigns thus far, having modeled for the brand’s Daisy fragrance and as the 2017 face of Marc Jacobs Beauty. Her new handbag for Marc Jacobs marks her first time designing for a brand. The daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber said she took inspiration from the 1970s in creating the purse.
 
“I’ve always loved customizing my own clothes, so working with Marc’s design team on this collaboration was so fun,” Gerber said in a statement. “My main inspiration was ’70s patches, and they really understood my creative vision.”

Since launching her modeling career, Gerber has also worked for Miu Miu and Alexander Wang and appeared on the April 2016 cover of French Vogue alongside her mother.
 
The Kaia Snapshot Small Camera Bag retails for $550 and is available at select Marc Jacobs’ stores and online.
 
Gerber is not the only model with famous parents to have worked with Marc Jacobs. The designer also tapped Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, to appear in his Spring 2017 campaign.
