Karl Lagerfeld is growing its projects internationally. Following the launch of a jewelry line with Swarovski this spring and a new beauty partnership with Australian brand ModelCo, the label by the famous German designer is accelerating its expansion. In particular, it is reinforcing its presence in Russia through an exclusive agreement for its women's collections with the distributor BNS Group, the company said in a news statement.

Karl Lagerfeld is already present in this market through nine points of sales exclusively dedicated to its men’s line, located mainly in shopping centers.

BNS Group distributes nine brands in the region including Calvin Klein, Michael Kors and Topshop among others. This year, American brands Tommy Hilfiger, Coach, and now Karl Lagerfeld were added to their portfolio. The agreement with Karl Lagerfeld includes the distribution of its women’s line in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, as well as the management of imported products.

In particular, it plans to open 10 single-brand stores by 2022, which will house the entire women's line owned by Apax Partners (clothing, footwear, accessories, watches, eyewear and perfumes). The inauguration of the first store is planned for 2018 in the prestigious Moscow Metropolis shopping center.

Karl Lagerfeld has around 80 points of sales including boutiques and shop in shops around the world. In September, the label will also focus on the Italian market with the opening of a pop-pop shop in Milan baptized "Karl Ikonic", dedicated to accessories (socks, key rings, luggage, small leather goods).

The pop-up shop will be located on the ground floor of the famous luxury concept store, Excelsior, in the heart of Milan, from September 15 to October 9, during the Milanese and Parisian Fashion Weeks.
