Kent & Curwen appoints Kearns new Creative Director

Daniel Kearns has been appointed Creative Director of Kent & Curwen, the British sporting brand that is relaunching with David Beckham.

Kearns was previously Artistic Director at Façonnable, the French heritage sportswear firm, and has also worked as Design Director for menswear at Alexander McQueen in London and at Louis Vuitton in Paris. He holds a Masters in Menswear from the Royal College of Art.

At Kent & Curwen, he will be responsible for delivering collections that tap into the growing opportunity for sports-related men’s fashion in China and internationally. Kearns will also team up with Beckham to create a collection inspired by the football icon. As previously reported on FashionMag.com, last year Kent & Curwen signed a five-year agreement that will see David Beckham playing a multifaceted role in driving the brand’s business globally.

David Beckham said: "Daniel is a talented and accomplished Creative Director with an impressive track record working for some of the leading menswear fashion houses in Europe. We believe he's a fantastic addition to the team.  I look forward to working with him closely to realise our vision for Kent & Curwen."
