L’Occitane International energised chiefly by France and China

Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed L’Occitane International (L’Occitane en Provence, Melvita, etc.) recorded a revenue of €984.7 million, equivalent to an 11.6% rise (+5.8% at constant exchange rates), in the first nine months of its fiscal year ending on 31st December.

For the period in question, France and China enjoyed the strongest growth. Sales in France increased by 12.9% and accounted for 18% of the group's growth (excluding exchange rate effects).

As for China, its sales leapt by 19.1%, generating 26% of L’Occitane International's growth. Globally, all countries posted positive results, except for the USA, where sales declined slightly, by 0.7%.

During the fiscal year's first nine months, the group opened 83 stores, of which 12 in the Europe-Southern Africa region, 48 in the Asia-Pacific region and 23 in America.
