Mariah Carey in planning phase of launching her own beauty company

While still an unofficial project, Mariah Carey has been researching Beverly Hills commercial real estate for the future location of her upcoming beauty company launch.

Carey was seen last Thursday with her manager and friend Stella Bulochnikov looking at a vacant retail location on Beverly Drive in glamorous Beverly Hills. A crowd gathered as the heavy hitting singer and her manager entered the empty commercial space.

Much of the project is still under speculation, however Carey has been increasingly involved in the beauty and cosmetics industry with namesake skincare and makeup capsule collections and collaborations.

She has partnered with Elizabeth Arden as well as most recently MAC Cosmetics for a namesake capsule holiday collection last year featuring glittery packaging and her signature nude tones.

Carey undoubtedly saw an opportunity to extend her brand which already includes signature shoe and jewelry lines. Carey's personal makeup artist and close friend Kristofer Buckle has his own beauty line which provides beauty inspiration to the singer.

She also currently has products in the fragrance space but does not yet have a regular beauty or skincare branded presence.

While the official launch and details are still under wraps, a source close to Carey confirmed the beauty line will include makeup, skincare and fragrance.

"They plan on opening a brick-and-mortar store in Beverly Hills and have been secretly looking at a number of retail spaces with a plan to unveil it this holiday season or next year by the latest.”

Consumers will have to wait several months for the official launch but can expect a similar decadence and glamorous take on skincare, fragrance and makeup as Carey has treated her fans to for decades.
