Nicodemus will remain as a close advisor to the company and Srivats, the company said in a press release.

Moda Operandi is keen to tap Srivats' deep experience in the luxury market experience. Lauren Santo Domingo, founder of Moda Operandi, commented: “His leadership and keen understanding of innovation in both technology and fashion, and the retail business at large, make him an ideal fit to helm the global growth we’re looking to achieve going forward.”

Srivats joins the luxury platform from Tesla, where he led the Silicon Valley-based car company's global website, its digital products, marketing and other factory-to-consumer initiatives as vice president in charge of North America and EMEA markets.

Prior to joining Tesla, Srivats spent ten years at Burberry where he ascended to the role of senior vice president of retail for the Americas.

Srivats said, "Moda now has an opportunity to rapidly scale its business globally, while continuing to innovate the core platform." He added that he is excited to be returning to the fashion industry.

Nicodemus added, "The Board and I are confident that Ganesh is the perfect leader for the next phase of Moda Operandi as I pursue my passion for philanthropy while continuing to advise the company and team.”

Srivats' appointment as CEO of Moda Operandi is effective August 1, 2018.
