New Look to take co-ed store in Peterborough's Queensgate

Value-focused chain New Look is to open a large-format store in Peterborough’s Queensgate shopping centre on the site of a former H&M store.

The fashion retailer will include both its women’s and men’s offer and it will be the first time it has sold menswear in Peterborough. The company has seen major success with its menswear expansion and has opened a number of stores selling men’s product only.

The store, due to open this spring, is in a prime position near the entrance to the centre and was vacated when H&M relocated within the Queensgate mall during 2016.

There had been talk that part of the two-storey location would bet let to a major restaurant chain following a planning application last year and in line with trends for a greater variety of tenants in UK shopping centres.

The New Look opening will be the latest in a series of debuts at the centre with Queensgate seeing new stores for Quiz, Fraser Hart and MAC Cosmetics in recent months.
