Paul Smith relocates sixth Paris store to rue Saint-Honoré

Paul Smith has moved one of its Paris stores, from Faubourg Saint-Honoré to 223 rue Saint-Honoré, very close to the Colette concept store. It is the British label's sixth shop in the city, the first having been opened in 1993.

The 125 sq m boutique features a classic Parisian-style parquet floor and has taken over the premises of a 7 For All Mankind store. It consists of two rooms, the first showcasing the men's and women's collections and the second dedicated to bespoke tailoring.

The interiors are pure Paul Smith: the first room hosts a collection of the designer's paintings over the cashier counter (some of them available for sale), and marble shelves filled with Tom Dixon table accessories (candles, lampstands, tea sets). The label's ready-to-wear lines are framed by a series of patterns from previous collections, and the fitting rooms are decorated with green ceramic tiles.

Besides the label's main collections, the store also features a selection of accessories, leather goods and classic Paul Smith cufflinks.

At the back, the bespoke tailoring area's ceiling is covered with slides from the designer's travels, which customers can view using binoculars, while sculpted chandeliers by Dutch brand Pols Potten brighten up the interior.
