The 85th edition of childrenswear show Pitti Bimbo will start on Thursday 22nd June, hosting 538 brands compared to 498 a year ago, with as many as 322 of them coming from outside Italy.

The next edition of Pitti Bimbo will be held from 22nd to 24th June

The show features several different sections, beginning with Fancy Room, home to brands that can be broadly defined as 'lifestyle', exhibiting also a range of accessories such as eyewear, decorative objects, hand-held technology and toys. Among the brands, which target international concept stores, are Izipizi (the former name of See Concept) and Jellycat.

Another section, The Nest, first introduced in last January's edition, is dedicated to independent labels such as Plume and Mimi & Lula. The KidzFizz section showcases the most creative labels, working with innovative shapes and fabrics, like Louis Louise, Arsène et les Pipelettes and Message in the Bottle. The Apartment section is instead home to luxury childrenswear labels such as Caramel and Tambere.

As for the EcoEthic section, it features 'green generation' brands with a sustainable approach, like Natura Pura and Dear Eco. Sport Generation is clearly a sportswear-oriented section, having broadened its range by putting a greater emphasis on lifestyle products for young customers. Among the new names in this section are international labels like Bensimon, Levi's Kids and Tommy Hilfiger. Finally, the Superstreet section, home to everything denim and street/urban, with brands like Scotch & Soda and Crocs.

Outside of the Fortezza da Basso venue, a few other top childrenswear labels will be staging catwalks and presentations: Monnalisa, Roberto Cavalli Junior and Emilio Pucci with its first junior line.

At last year's summer edition, Pitti Bimbo recorded an attendance of over 10,000 visitors, 5,600 of them buyers.
