RVCA adds Sage Erickson to ambassador program

Surfer Sage Erickson has signed on to be RVCA's newest athlete and brand ambassador. She will contribute both athletics and artistry to the brand as it pivots towards a design and lifestyle focus.

RVCA has been moving towards a stronger art and design focus as it evolves as a lifestyle brand. Its Artist Network Program was founded to create a community and platform for emerging artists to showcase their creative work. Its product line focuses on juxtaposing art and science as well as other dualities in nature.

PM Tenore, Founder and President of RVCA said, "Sage embodies so much of what RVCA is as a platform for creative people. It will be great to see Sage tap into her artistic side."

Erickson is a California native. Her family moved to Hawaii when she was nine and she began surfing on the NSSA circuit. In addition to surfing she is passionate about illustration, art and photography which RVCA plans to highlight.

In addition to being a signed RVCA athlete, Erickson will work with RVCA's Artist Network Program to contribute content that inspires and engages consumers.

She said, "I’m not only inspired in my surfing at the moment but also in my future athleticism and love for art."

Erickson won the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach in August of this year. She is on her first ever WSL Women’s Championship Tour and is currently competing at the 2017 Cascais Women's Pro in Portugal.
