Rag & Bone co-founder Nathan Bogle launches Double Eleven

Published
Jan 2, 2017

Nathan Bogle, Co-Founder of Rag & Bone, launched this month a new menswear brand named Double Eleven inspired by World War II-era British manufacturing methods.

The Double Eleven slim indigo jean - Double Eleven

Double Eleven receives its name from post WWII clothing that could be made in Britain during rationing. The brand said that garments with the Double Eleven label were considered to be better grade fabrics.

Bogle’s new menswear line offers men’s jeans in slim and straight cuts made from 100% locally reclaimed Japanese, Italian and American deadstock fabrics. Each garment is made for a limited run and is designed, cut, sewn, and finished in Los Angeles to ensure a small carbon footprint.

Bogle co-founded Rag & Bone with Marcus Wainwright in 2002 before leaving the brand in 2007. In 2012, he founded men’s luxury apparel brand Jardine and served as designer through August 2015. He has worked on Double Eleven since January 2015 previously under the name CC15, which also derives from the CC41 utility clothing scheme in Britain during WWII.
