Reformation will develop sustainable denim line

Published
Oct 12, 2017

The Los Angeles-based brand will create a full line of denim for the first time. In keeping with the brand’s main line, its jeans will also be produced using sustainable practices.

Facebook: Reformation

Reformation will launch Ref Jeans on October 23 at its stores and online. The range will be made using deadstock and other sustainable fabrics, and will eliminate the use of toxic dyes. According to the brand, each pair of Ref Jeans saves about 1,468 gallons of water compared to traditionally made jeans.

As part of the launch, Reformation will also introduce The Wet Program. As part of the initiative, Reformation will donate 1,000 gallons of credits to the National Forest Foundation's clean water project for every pair of jeans sold.

The Ref Jeans line will include jeans, skirts, overalls and jackets. In addition to denim pieces, it will also include t-shirts, turtlenecks and dresses. Prices for the line will range from $28 to $148. The collection debuts across the Reformation network on October 23, with a waitlist available in anticipation of the launch.

Reformation is based in Los Angeles and is known for its eco-friendly casual pieces. The brand operates stores in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, and New York City.
