Retailer Shoeby to open stores at Wereldhave shopping centres

Dutch retailer Shoeby is extending its current store portfolio. The retailer and shopping center owner and operator Wereldhave agreed upon three stores, which will be housed in Wereldhave-owned malls in Heerhugowaard, Maassluis and Roosendaal.

The 223 m2 Heerhugowaard branch opened in November and is located at Middenwaard shopping center. Shoeby Maassluis will land at shopping center Koningshoek in February, where it will take 260 m2 of retail space. The 285 m2 store in Roosendaal will be situated at the Roselaar shopping center and open its doors in April.

Shoeby’s range is available for men, women and children and includes clothing, accessories, footwear and cosmetics. The retailer offers its own labels such as Eksept for women and Refill for men. Childrenswear labels by the retailer include Jilly, Jill, Mitch and MTC. Other brands on offer are: Pieces, Vila, Esprit, Tumble ‘N Dry, Object, Vero Moda, Jack & Jones and Garcia.

Shoeby was founded in 1981 by John and Mieke van Deursen, who opened the first shop in Den Bosch. Today, the retailer operates 230 stores across the Netherland, including Shoeby bracnhes at Wereldhave-owned shopping centers Emiclaer in Amersfoort and Sterrenburg in Dordrecht. In 2008 Shoeby launched its own web shop, followed by an app in 2016.

Wereldhave owns shopping centers in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Finland.
