Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: Ugg’s first global women's brand ambassador

California-based brand Ugg announced on Thursday international supermodel and actress, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as its first-ever global women's brand ambassador.

The partnership will begin with a fall 2016 campaign in which Huntington-Whiteley will be the face of the new Ugg Classic II. The updated Classic will have an edgier, street style appeal as well as updated features like a Treadlite by Ugg outsole for increased traction, improved cushioning for greater support and Scotchgard Protector to help repel water and stains.
 
This will be the brand’s biggest re-launch since its inception thirty-seven years ago.

The campaign will kick off this September in print, digital and out of home advertisements and feature an array of new and improved Classic boots rolling out throughout the year.
 
The Ugg brand was founded in 1978. It is recognized as a premium lifestyle brand with more than $1 billion in annual sales.
