Local government body Transport for London (TfL) will launch its first Night Tube services on the Central and Victoria lines on Friday 19 August, with services on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines to follow in the fall.
The Night Tube will offer a 24-hour service on Fridays and Saturdays with trains on the participating lines running approximately every 10 minutes on average, as part of a new initiative by the government to further modernise the London Underground and bolster the city's pubic transport systems.
Onward bus connections for customers will also be boosted when the new Night Tube services launch tomorrow (19 August) with eight new 24-hour bus services to run on Friday and Saturday nights to complement the Night Tube.
TfL will charge standard off-peak fares for travelling on the Night Tube, with Day Travelcards to be valid on the day of issue (using the date printed on the card), and for journeys starting before 4:30am the following day.
