U.S. Polo Assn. is eyeing global expansion with three new licensing partners.
The official brand of the United States Polo Association entered into license agreements with Grand Billion Trading, Changzhou Yicai Brands Management, and F J Benjamin Pte to expand its presence in Asia this year.
Grand Billion will introduce U.S. Polo Assn. brand children’s footwear in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The collection will be available online and at select children’s footwear stores in spring 2017.
The second license agreement with Yicai is for men’s and women’s apparel and small leather goods in China, Hong Kong and Macau. The China-based privately held women’s and men’s apparel and intimates manufacturer, retailer and distributor will introduce U.S. Polo Assn. branded products to the new market beginning in August 2017.
Finally, Singapore-based F J Benjamin will introduce the brand to the South East Asia market through branded stores with an initial focus on women’s and men’s apparel. The public company plans to open its first U.S. Polo Assn. branded store in Malaysia in Fall 2017.
"U.S. Polo Assn.'s approachable style and authentic connection to the sport of polo is reaching new audiences as we continue to expand the brand globally and we see the Asia market as a high potential region," said David Cummings, President of USPA Global Licensing Inc. "We are excited to be collaborating with three strong partners for these new launches."
U.S. Polo Assn. products are available in over 135 countries at over 800 brand stores, and department stores, e-commerce websites and other retail outlets. The fashion brand has licensing partnerships in North and South America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East among other regions.
