VF Corp names Steve Rendle CEO, Eric Wiseman to remain as Chairman

VF Corporation and its Board of Directors announced on Wednesday the appointment of President and Chief Operating Officer Steve E. Rendle to Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2017. Rendle will succeed current CEO Eric C. Wiseman who will continue to serve as Executive Chairman of the VF Corp Board of Directors.

 
As President and CEO, Rendle will be responsible for the company’s strategic direction, successful implementation and achievement of its near- and long-term growth plan, and day-to-day global operations. Rendle has spent 16 years of his 30-year career at VF Corp and most recently served as President and COO. In this role, he oversaw the company’s Outdoor & Action Sports, Jeanswear, Imagewear and Sportswear coalitions. He was also responsible for VF’s Global Supply Chain and Direct-to-Consumer platforms.
 
Rendle also served as Vice President, VF Corporation; Group President, Outdoor & Action Sports Americas, and as President of VF Outdoor Americas, where he oversaw The North Face, JanSport, Eagle Creek® and Lucy brands.

Wiseman, who currently serves as CEO of VF Corporation, will work with Rendle in transition and will continue to lead the VF Board of Directors.
