World Fashion Week (WFW) and Korea Model Association (KMA) have jointly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to form an alliance with 25 Asian countries. The MoU, signed to work towards the development of the global fashion industry, will provide an opportunity to models from all the 25 member nations to explore international fashion industries.

World Fashion Week joins to Korea Model Association to open borders for Asian models for more opportunity in the fashion industry - World Fashion Week

WFW and KMA entered into the agreement to promote fashion internationally and help maintain cross-border cultural relations between the partner nations. It was signed by chairman of KMA Yang Eui Sig, chairman of WFW Paco De Jaimes and official ambassador of WFW for Asia & Middle East and founder of Pune Fashion Week Badal Saboo.

“As our responsibility towards the global fashion industry, WFW is indeed very proud and humbled to take this initiative along with KMA to promote fashion internationally and foster cross-border cultural and business relations with Asian countries,” said Saboo.

“We are really glad and excited to partner with WFW. This association is a great opportunity for all the stakeholders from the Korean fashion industry to explore the international fashion market. This platform will serve as a golden career opportunity for aspiring as well as professional models from all our 25 partner countries to explore international shores,” Said Eui Sig.

"It is our greatest honor to join forces with KMA and the 25 Asian member countries, this partnership will open new avenues of cultural understanding and fair trade between all Asian nations and the world, with a major role in contributing to a sustainable socioeconomic growth for all,” said De Jaimes.

WFW works towards harnessing and supporting relationships to keep the global fashion industry sustainable and fair and KMA is a non-profit organisation working for the protection and promotion of models rights and interest.
