Yoox Net-A-Porter Group has hired Deborah Lee as chief people officer, taking responsibility for defining and overseeing the group’s HR vision.

Lee will start her new role in January and will be based in the group’s offices in London, where she will manage and grow the fashion company’s global HR team with direct reports in Milan, Bologna, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. She will join the group’s executive team and report to Federico Marchetti, chief executive officer of YNAP

The company said her appointment further demonstrates the group’s commitment to executing its new growth plan, emphasizing its overarching drivers, customer centricity and mobile-first innovation, with people at the heart of its strategies.

The group, created in October 2015, employs over 3,900 people in 8 offices around the globe.

Deborah Lee has over 20 years of experiences leading international HR functions for a number of BT Group’s largest organisations. She has significant M&A experience and has been credited for introducing innovative HR practices that promote a flexible work-life balance.

Deborah was most recently chief HR officer at BT Global Services, which is a tech leader with an 18,000 strong workforce providing services to global multinationals across 180 countries.
