Yours Clothing gets non-exec director from Missguided

Yours Clothing has looked to Missguided to add a new non-executive director to its board with Jonathan Wall joining the fast-growing plus-size retailer.

Wall is also Chief Digital Officer at Missguided and will join the Yours business on April 1.

He will support the executive management team and Chairman Saeed Hatteea “in continuing to expand the Yours brand across channels both in the UK and internationally.”

Yours founder and CEO Andrew Killingsworth said Wall is joining "at such an exciting time in our development. His appointment is part of our ongoing commitment in adding expertise and experience to all levels of our business to support our clear growth strategy. With both stores and online growing fast both in the UK and internationally, I have no doubt that Jonathan's knowledge will be invaluable in helping the business achieve its significant potential.”

And it’s undeniable that Yours is going through a growth spurt at present having been opening stores fast in recent periods. It now operates 135 stores throughout the UK and 10 internationally, in addition to a number of websites in various different languages, shipping to more than 90 countries. 

It’s interesting that the company has been mainly store-focused though, especially as Wall comes from a business that was solely digital until recently. He said of his new appointment: “I am delighted to be joining the Yours Clothing Board at this exciting time for the business. The team has already built a truly multi-channel retail business and I am confident that my digital and management experience will support the team in achieving further growth and success.”
