Zuhair Murad: Nereo Friso new commercial director

Zuhair Murad has appointed Nereo Friso as commercial and business development officer, the haute couture label revealed in a press release. This appointment "will make it possible to strengthen the house's growth and to capitalise on the numerous opportunities we have to develop," the Lebanese designer said.
 

Nereo Friso has extensive experience in the luxury sector, having held several managerial and management board positions at some big groups. The executive started his career in Italy as commercial manager for Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Versace.

In 1993 he joined Moschino. He stayed there for ten years, starting out as sales manager in Milan before becoming general director of France and the UK. At the end of 2004 he joined Givenchy in Paris as commercial director. In 2012 he moved on to Emanuel Ungaro, where he was also commercial director. He was also consultant director of worldwide distribution at luxury shoe company Stuart Weitzman.
