Tory Burch : collection spring-summer 2017 in New York

Designer : Tory Burch Atmosphere : On the ground floor of the sublime museum The Whitney Museum with Jessica Alba in the front row, Tory Burch shared her very colourful collection. Silhouette : very summery, almost hippy. Long dresses, flared skirts or cropped trousers worn with bra tops. Focus on : the mixture of colours, the work on the motifs (floral, batik, marine) printed onto delicate materials. To note : the chic djellaba worn all summer. Interview with Tory Burch: I’ve been inspired by so many places around Europe and all around the world and I felt, you know, right here at home. The idea of quintessential American style, and taking the coast, East Coast to West Coast, and how disparate they are, so how do we bring those ideas together. I love prints and I love the idea of taking prints that don’t necessarily work together and making them work, engineering them, blowing them up, and also handpainting… and a lot of artisanal details were actually hand done.
