Acne Studios opens second NYC store

Swedish fashion label Acne Studios recently opened the doors to its second New York City store located at 54-60 8th Avenue in the West Village.

The 1,292-square-foot store designed by architect Sophie Hicks features a stainless steel build-out and interior, floor-to-ceiling light boxes of frosted glass and plenty of open space, much like the brand's locations in Los Angeles and Seoul. The current Acne collection is merchandised in the store very minimally with only one or two of each style on the sales floor.

The Acne West Village store is the third location from the brand to open in the US joining stores in Los Angeles and New York City, and it is the 44th location to open worldwide. The Swedish brand also joins Scotch & Soda and Tomas Maier as the latest brands to open in the West Village.
